Taking Ownership

If you have been following our exploits you will know that we have been very active as of late getting the word out about what our kids are doing. Thanks to Brian Dempsey of Vermont, our newest ambassador, we now have a new avenue with which to distribute our information, and that is our weekly radio show on Recognition Radio. All along we have stated our role as mouthpieces for what these kids are doing and the wondrous things that happen when they get together. We have also stated that our wish is to stand on a proverbial mountain top and shout out to everyone about how amazing these children are and yet how “normal” they are. The secret we tell parents is that their kids can be heroes too, all along increasing their confidence and boosting their leadership skills. With the influx of new ambassadors and new commitment of old ones, things look very bright as far as getting the word out goes. We ask not that the ambassadors “help” MaryMargaret or myself as it has nothing to do with that. We ask that they take ownership of the Kids Are Heroes concept and run with it as passionately as we do.

We currently have ambassadors spread all over the country and even overseas. I would love it if they got the chance to experience what I have since the genesis of Kids Are Heroes. Hopefully we can get to the point soon where we host events in locations near to them.

Until that time we are hoping some of our readers do take ownership of this concept and feel what we feel when we do it. If you are interested, you may sign up to be a Kids Are Heroes ambassador here!
