Have found a great project for kids to make a contribution too in the US which I thought you might want to have a look at. http://www.giveyoursole.com

They have specifically put a call out on twitter @giveyoursole for kids sizes. Hope one of your readers might be inspired by what they are doing.

Let us know if there is anything we can do to help your boys get started. I would recommend sitting down with them and reading some of the stories on the Kids Are Heroes web site. That usually helps. :)

And as far as schools go, we’re working on that too!

What a great post. I hope so much to instill volunteering as a lifestyle for my boys (they are 8)so they can be different from most kids. Your daughter is an inspiration. I think as adults we become overwhelmed by all of the organizations and the troubles of the world and it freezes up our ability to take action. I’ve learned that feeling bad about everyone I can’t help just has to take a back seat to the few things I can do. Too bad the school system does not allow time or credit for volunteer work at a younger age.

I would love to see more children from outside the US become involved. From the onset we have believed that this concept will work in every corner of the globe and I applaud all efforts to try and further it.
