This is a great story. It is amazing how much good is being done all around us by kids and adults alike. It is through storytelling that people get to know about it.
I had no ideas that this sort of training was available. Animals are wonderful.

Thanks Wendy. I am very proud to know Mark, even if it is only through our web site. I just love the diversity of ways that kids are making a difference.

Hats off to Mark! Young people NEVER fail to amaze me. I smile when I think of all the world will become thanks to the youngsters like Mark! (via Kids Are Heroes) Service dogs are incredible animals, and they can do things beyond our imagination! Keep shining bright, Mark!

I was not aware either that dogs could or did do this. This is really super to know. I can feel a lot of empathy for the couple being able to have a life. Living with a chronically ill person can be a blessing but the stress is always there. Thanks for alerting me on Twitter to read this.

Don't feel bad Alex - when I first heard about Mark it was news to me too. My hat really goes off to Mark for the effort he put into this.

I must confess, I found this story both wonderful and educational. I had no idea dogs could be trained to detect upcoming drops in blood sugar. Today the world amazed me in a pleasant way. Thank you.
